    HI Guys,
Question 1: I am using your brilliant theme for a while now for my wedding photography site and I have to say I love it, however there are 2 things I simply can`t do. I am sure there is a way, but after reading your knowledgebase I am still struggling.

First thing, ON my home page: http://cgphotography.co.uk/ I want my slideshow (revolution slider) to go edge to edge.I cant seem to do this as the site width set to 90% for the theme. If I change it to 100%, then everything goes to edges, I dont want that, only the slideshow. Is this possible? 🙂

    Question 2:
    On my Investment page: http://cgphotography.co.uk/luxury-wedding-photography-service-pricing/

I would love to set one of your you icon, but it just doesn`t seem to work. Please see the attached example, and i would love to have it green.

    Thank you!

    1) On Cornerstone, click on the maginifying lens on your Row and turn off Column Container.

    Please see imgs attached.

    2)

You can use our feature list for that.

You can set the icon just before your text

here is the code to place before the text: [x_icon style="font-color: green" type="chevron-circle-right"]

    Hope that helps,

    Joao

    HI Joao,
Thank you for your message. I am afraid I dont have Cornerstone anywhere. Even though the plugin is installed and activated it doesnt show anywhere.

I have tried the “[x_icon style=”font-color: green” type=”chevron-circle-right”]” shortcode but it doesnt work, instead it will simple show this as text on my page. What I am doing soo wrong? 🙁

OH well. I didn`t have the right Cornerstone. Now I have updated to latest my whole site has crashed and get a message instead of my homepage:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function x_has_shortcode() in /var/sites/c/cgphotography.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/x-shortcodes/setup.php on line 109

If I disable the plugin, the site works.. this is just so wrong 🙁 X theme 1.8.1 as the updater doesnt work for some reason. do you guys offer log-in support?

    Hi There,

You have a really really old version of X Theme.

I reccomend you backing up your website before anything.

Your site is not working because Cornerstone conflicts wit X-Shortcode plugins which you need to deactivate.

Anyway I would reccomend you updating the theme, there is a lot of benefits on the new versions and you cannot stay so much behind.

At this time you will need to perform a manual update.

    So please do the following.

Update wordpress to the latest version via WP-Admin Panel.

    1. Revoke your API key from X Addons section (check the bottom of the page) and also remove it from your license page on Themeco.

    https://community.theme.co/my-licenses/

    2. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache and uninstall X-Shortcodes Plugin.

    3. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

    4. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

    5. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.

In case you are using a Child Theme you will also need to update your Child Theme and please refer to this thread:

    https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/child-theme-updates/

Reach us if you face any challenges on the process.

*** Backup your theme before doing this because jumping from 1.81 to 4.52 is a big jump.

    https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/x-theme-backup-guide/

    Hope that helps,

Hehe 🙂 I managed to restore it to where I started, my main issue is regardless of the update and everything new I have the same problem when corner stone is active, even when I used the latest xtheme and cornerstone :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function x_has_shortcode() in /var/sites/c/cgphotography.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/x-shortcodes/setup.php on line 109

    Hi there,

It’s because X shortcodes plugin is still active wp-content/plugins/x-shortcodes/setup.php. X shortcodes is now replaced by cornerstone, and should be deleted to avoid conflicts and error.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad and Joao,
Thank you for the advise. I have deleted X Shortcordes, but few shortcodes I used has gone off (obviously).

I think I am in the situation when I simply cant do what I want. I understand that the best way is top update everything and then build the CSS preferences again, however, this will take time and I cant do this in main wedding season.

I am wondering if you can advise on custom CSS code for the revolution slider to make it fullwidth, so at least I can get what I want until I find time to upgrade?

You can see my current layout at http://cgphotography.co.uk/ and I want that slideshow to go edge to edge on the white place.

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

    Hello There,

I am another staff checking on the thread! For the meantime, you can edit your page and remove the slider from the content. In the Slider Settings: Below Masthead, you can enable it and assign the slider. I wanted to test this suggestion in your site but I do not have any access.

For more details about how you can display a slider in your page, please check out this article: https://community.theme.co/kb/sliders/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I can see you have the latest version of the theme but you are still using x-shortcodes plugin.

Please note that x-shortcodes was replaced by cornerstone.

Kindly deactivate and xshortcodes then install cornerstone via ADDons > Home

    Thanks

Hi Paul, please read my previous post. when I deactivate X-shortcodes, my latest blog post function and some other short code options don`t work. Therefore i rather use X-shortcodes for the moment instead of cornerstone. Do you have a solution for this?

  • <script> jQuery(function($){ $("#no-reply-1035675 .bbp-template-notice, .bbp-no-topic .bbp-template-notice").removeClass('bbp-template-notice'); }); </script>
