theoutdoorarmoryParticipantHi,
Link issue is:
https://theoutdoorarmory.com/deuter/
I’d like to standardize the dimensions of the thumbnails. As you can from the screen cap, “Deuter Futura Pro” and “Deuter Belt II” have different dimensions. I want to have standardized pixel dimensions for all.
Please help.
Thanks

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the URL and the screenshot.
Thumbnail size will depend on the size of the original image. It will be display depending on the original dimension. Forcing this to crop on the same size means that either it is distorted or the image will cut inappropriately. Please try to use the same image size instead.Hope this helps.

theoutdoorarmoryParticipantHi,
Thanks for this. But how do I “zoom” in one the images?
Issue link here is:
https://theoutdoorarmory.com/kelty/
If you can see, the first four images (the bags) have quite a bit of white space at the bottom. How do I “zoom in” ?
Compare these images to:
https://theoutdoorarmory.com/deuter/
In which the bags themselves occupy the entire thumbnail.
By the way, here is another problem:
https://theoutdoorarmory.com/trekking-poles/
If you can see the pictures of the poles are not in the middle. How do I do vertically center the image?
Please help 🙁

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
The image dimensions are different so they get resized with different sizes.
This image https://theoutdoorarmory.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Calisto-35-2.jpg is 600*600px while this one https://theoutdoorarmory.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Catalyst-Regal-1.jpg is 1200* 800.
The other images at https://theoutdoorarmory.com/deuter/ have another dimensions, they are 686*1033px.
If you want to zoom in, you should force width and height with CSS and this will be stretched images.Hope that helps.

theoutdoorarmoryParticipantHi Chris,
Thanks for the feedback.
So given that, what do you think is the best dimensions for this one?
I mean I could use a certain xxx by xxx then just do it on Adoboe Photoshop. I can set a template for all my images before I upload them.
I think that’s a good way to standardize the images.

JoaoModeratorIt is really a matter of taste.
Making a Photoshop template is always the best way to go, you can use the Photoshop rulers and make sure the images are aligned in a way that will still good when switching images even if they are different.
In your place I would pickup one of the images I like the way it looks and use it as a reference to create the template and then adjust the other ones.
Hope that helps,
Joao

theoutdoorarmoryParticipantHi Joao,
Check this out: https://theoutdoorarmory.com/kelty/
I tried making the product image of “Kelty Redwing 50 – Unisex (Twilight Blue)” 450 x 450 on Photoshop and uploaded it through the back end. It is on the top rop, second from the left.
Did you see the difference compared to the adjacent thumbnails? It looks great now!
I guess I have to stick to 450 x 450 to all my photos now. A bit tasking but this is best practice. I now know what to do moving forward.
Hope this helps other X theme users as well!
