    Hi I am working on a site, where I want to do the following, please help

    1. Add a caption to each image
    2. On hover – display a roll-over gray screen with additional information (like the ethos theme)
    3. I want to add social sharing options on rollover

    Hi Anil,

    Regretfully it is only doable in Ethos Stack. It could be possible in other stack with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

    Thanks Paul, it is but unfortunate. However I used to be a developer (not web) about 15 years ago, well lots have changed since and wow it is exciting yet confusing as a maze, Could you please point me in the direction where I can start tinkering with customer coding?

    Hi again,

    Did you mean Customizer settings? We don’t recommend modifying the Customizer since this can only be Customized by changing the parent theme. However if you need theme level changes then you’ll need to consult a developer to assist you with this.

    Well I can now say I am no longer the biggest fan of X. Everything I want to do seems like I need to hire a developer. Rollover Image, caption text etc.. basics that should come with the theme.

    Unfortunately I am on a tight deadline and X Theme is no longer helping me. Frustration!!

    Hi there,

    We don’t really provide customization here in the forum unless it’s a tweaking. And the effect you wish to achieve is not really part of the theme. Rollover is simple, but adding more feature along with it isn’t especially the social sharing. It’s not really part of the theme and we don’t cover that.
