Thanks for writing in! It seems you have enabled Footer Widget Areas but not using any content there.. If you want to turn it off, you can do it from Appearance > Customize > Footer > Footer Widget Areas > (check) None (Disables Widget Areas)

It seems you are using embedded HTML or something on the footer content that’s creating the extra spaces as some styles are being applied from different source. You can try placing the below CSS under Customizer :
.x-colophon.bottom { padding: 0; } .x-colophon.bottom .x-colophon-content { margin: 0; } .x-colophon-content .footer-distributed { margin-top: 0 !important; }Hope this helps.
