SamuelParticipantHi, my website hosted at http://laboratoirebelanger.ddns.net/ has a one-pager mega menu. When someone clicks on a link, the page scrolls to the right section but since the menu stays visible, it is hard to see you have arrived at that section.
I’m looking for either one of those two solutions:
- When a menu item is clicked, the page scrolls to the corresponding section while the menu disappears even though the mouse is still over it.
- When a menu item is clicked, the page scrolls to the corresponding section but shifted by the height of the megamenu box. This way, the heading of a section is visible.
Thanks!
Ps: I have all the latest versions…

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Please make sure that you have setup one page navigation properly. In doing that, you are supposed to have two separate menu. One is for your primary menu and the 2nd menu will be exclusively for the one page navigation only. For more information, you can check it here: https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-one-page-navigation/
And most importantly, you should set the navbar height for at least 125px in your customizer, Appearance > Customize > Header > Navbar Top Height (px).
Hope this helps.

SamuelParticipantHi,
I am using a one page navigation menu and my header is 127px high. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. Let me explain what the issue is.
The menu itself works perfectly: the links scroll to the right sections and all. My issue is that you have to move your mouse out of the way for the megamenu for it to disappear. If you leave your mouse where you clicked, the content behind the menu (which corresponds to the top of the section you have scrolled too, is hidden, making it hard to know where you are in the page).
This is why, I’m looking to reproduce one of the two behaviours I explained in my previous post. Is this possible?
Thank you.

Rue NelModeratorHello Again,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we cannot support any modifications to the header other than minor cosmetic changes due to the fact that X is a highly dynamic theme with many elements being constructed on the fly based on options in the Customizer. Among these, the header is one of the more complex elements of the theme and structural modifications to it will likely lead to numerous layout problems as there are a lot of things to take into consideration because of X’s responsive nature. Taking all of this into consideration, these types of updates are out of the scope of our support as their involvement is simply too great and we are a very small team. While we would love to be able to assist all of our users with every customization request, the simple reality is that we cannot cater to every inquiry. Additionally, we will not be able to support any issues that might arise from modifications made to this area on your own.
Thank you for your understanding.
