    Hi there,

I wanted to edit things like the class/functions of the widget area ( Like, I wanted to make the title of the footer widgets to have a different h1/h2 etc… I know you can’t do this with css and i gota go into the files. To do this specific change, what code would i use and where would I put it? In the child theme’s function.php?

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! You need to copy the original files first on the parent X|Theme, and paste it on the same path in the child theme directory.

Please read this post for more details: https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes#Template_Files

    Cheers!

    Thabks ill take a looks.

How can i find the file path for what i want to edit?

also my google chrome tab keeps closing when i am using the customizer

specifically the custom css of the theme.

so what i did was use safari to remove all css in the x theme customizer and use wordpress live custom csss editor in there but it still crashes time to time. what can i do to prevent this?

i checked and there is always enough ram and cpu

    Hi there,

Widgets are not editable especially widgets standard to WordPress. Other widgets are provided by other plugins, checking it with the plugin author is recommended. Hence, it depends on the widget, I can’t answer your question since it can be implemented in many ways, and can be added to many different files ( it varies on coder/developer’s coding style).

About the theme files, they are located at /wp-content/themes/x/, and you can copy template files to /wp-content/themes/x-child/ if you wish to customize it.

I’m not sure about safari thing, how did you do it? You should add your CSS in customizer, and not in Safari. Would you mind providing a video recording?

    Thanks!
