BMCParticipantHi,
We would like to edit how the blog page (that shows the list of most recent posts) and individual posts look by default. Which php files do we need to work on in order to achieve a different look? We are using the Ethos theme at the moment.
Thanks!

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You can not not simple copy and modified the index.php because many pages are using that template. You need to create your own home.php template. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding.

BMCParticipantWhat file is currently used to create the individual posts on the blog homepage? I am a developer and I’m able to customize this myself, but I can’t find which file creates the HTML for the blog posts on the homepage. I’d prefer to start by copying another file and editing it instead of making home.php from scratch, if possible.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Which stack are you currently using? and also let us know the changes that you require (provide us with your URL if possible). As there are parts of the template files connecting together, we can provide you a guidance on which files to edit.
Also you might be able to figure it out by checking this guide (https://community.theme.co/kb/customization-best-practices/).
Thanks!
