    Hi,

Could anybody tell me how to change the background color to a white background, for the Navbar on Ethos 1? As you can see from the screenshot it is a very light gray. This is the closest I can get to white, but the rgba settings read 255,255,255, 0 which should be white.

Also, how do I change the colour of the menu button on the right (Item 2) which is white but of course will need to be a darker colour.

I am not experienced at this, I’m not a designer or anything, just trying to update my own site so any advice appreciated.

    Jon

I don’t have one at the moment, I’m running it on a local install of WordPress.

It’s a fairly straightforward question, in fact I have now worked out how to get the white background but now need to know how to change to colour of the open menu button (the three white lines)

    Thanks.

    Hello There,

    Thanks for updating in!

1] To change the background color to a white background, for the Navbar on Ethos 1, you can go to the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Ethos and select the “Navbar Background Color” with the color picker.

2] To change to colour of the open menu button, you can go to Appearance > Customize > Header > Links – Text. You will need to change the color of the Navbar Links and the Navbar Links Hover colors.

For more Ethos stack customization options, please check this out: https://community.theme.co/kb/customizer-ethos/, https://community.theme.co/kb/customizer-header/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

2] To change to colour of the open menu button, you can go to Appearance > Customize > Header > Links – Text. You will need to change the color of the Navbar Links and the Navbar Links Hover colors.

That doesn’t work unfortunately, I already did that and set the Links and Hover to blue-green colors, but the actual open-menu button (with the three lines) remains white, so you can’t see it on a white background.

I have also noticed that the site doesn’t actually show the open-menu button (the 3 horizontal lines) but shows the actual menu items on the actual site. I wanted the button showing rather than the actual menu items.

    From the screenshots:
    1. The first one shows the site ‘live’ with the menu items showing, not the button.

    2. The second one “shows” the menu button in white against a white background

3 If I change the background to a darker colour, blue in this case, you can see the menu button. How do I make it visible when the background is white, and how do I get the live site to show the button instead of the actual menu items?

Thanks for your help to date.
    Jon
