Pollito69ParticipantHello,
I love the Ethos 1 theme and it looks great with Woocommerce shop. However, I would like to enhance the user experience for searching the shop:
1. How can I modify the functionality of the existing “magnifying glass” icon in the menu so that it opens an empty search bar (to the left, for example) when the user clicks it? Please see the attachment. Sorry about my bad drawing skills.
2. I would like to reduce the number of menu items in the home page menu bar to 3: Home, Shop, and the magnifying glass (with the functionality explained in #1).
Here is the link to my page:

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thanks for posting in.
1.) That is possible but not would need customization that is beyond the scope of our support. Although I can point you to the template file that handle the search bar. You can see it in wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/navbar.php. . You may want to consult a web developer if you’re not comfortable doing the changes.2.) We can edit the menus on Appearance > Menu. Then to hide the WooCommerce Cart please go to Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce >Navbar Menu: Choose OFF.
Hope this helps.

Pollito69ParticipantHello,
Thanks for the information.
Ref. #2: I made the changes as instructed but there is no change in the home page menu. All menu items are still showing the same way on both the Home page and Shop page. Please let me know what am I missing?
Thank you!
