    My client wants a very clean site without a bunch of stuff in the footer. On the site I created with X, is there a way to remove this grey footer and the white space below that? The site looks rather sloppy with all this empty space.

    Hi There,

    You can adjust your footer Settings at: Wp Admin Dashboard > Appereance > Customizer > Footer

    There Please turn off your Footer Widget Area and adjust the other settings according to your wished.
