Hi, I want to do all my blog posts via WordPress (not Cornerstone), but I’d like to change the default template for the individual blog posts. In other words, I’m not talking about the blog page which contains all my recent posts, but rather the individual blog posts. I’d like to add a form or button to the bottom for readers to opt in to a newsletter, and make other universal changes that would apply to all future posts. Again, for the sake of efficiency I don’t want to edit each blog post in Cornerstone, but rather change the default appearance/template so that all WP posts going forward show the form at the bottom and other changes I’d like to make. How do I go about accomplishing this?

    Hey There,

    Thanks for writing in!

It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

Furthermore, Cornerstone offers a variety of options to accomplish what you require. You should go with it. Or you can setup your own Child theme within the X-theme to do so.

    Thanks for understanding.

Ugh! Not what I wanted to hear. Only reason I don’t want to use Cornerstone for actual posts, is because it would be cumbersome to set that up every time I post something. In Cornerstone, can I create a template that actually retains content that I can simply update?

    Hi Dominic,

Yes you can actually create Cornerstone templates for posts. Please refer to the screenshots below:

Once you saved the template in the library, the template will be available in one of the options so you can simply insert it to the page.

    Hope this helps.
