    Hi since I am not going to use google maps on my site, I want to know how manually remove it from x-theme. I want to remove it because it slows my site down being loaded when I am never going to use it.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! If you are not using Google Map then the script should not be loaded. Are you facing problem with map script without using map?

    Hmm I am not sure ? I am using fire fox browser and on some pages I notice the bottom left of my firefox browser says something like “loading google api javascript” , So I assume it is being loaded in the background?

    And in addition to that, I see this in google page speed test which adds on to my belief :

    Leverage browser caching
    Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources instructs the browser to load previously downloaded resources from local disk rather than over the network.
    Leverage browser caching for the following cacheable resources:

    http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js (30 minutes)

    Is there a location in the files I can just go to and delete the call to the api ?
