The home link in my navmenu works fine on this page:

http://tinyurl.com/ncc8xzx

…but does not work on this page below:

http://tinyurl.com/go5tn82

It seems to send the user to the top of the page instead of back to the home page. Any idea what is happening here?

Please change the HREF of your menu items to website URL + section ID:

For example http://greatponddesign.com/#services instead of #services

i’ve made this change and it’s still the same. actually it’s slightly worse. this page below still sends the user to the top of the same page instead of to the top of the home page:

and now 2 of my home page navmenu links are shown as active upon page-load (the 2 anchor links: services, portfolio) – you can see this because they are underlined.

is there something about #cs-content that can’t distinguish that it needs to go back to the home page?

on the link above (http://tinyurl.com/go5tn82) the navmenu has no issue going to home-url/#services but for some reason it apperas to be an issue to go to home-url/#cs-content

On Appearance > Menu > One Page Menu > Please use relative URL like this:

#cs-content
#services
#portfolio
#client-results
http://greatponddesign.com/quote

Non Homepage Menu setup is correct using absolute URL.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The issue happened because you have implemented the one page navigation menu incorrectly. You were supposed to create two separate menu. One Menu is for your primary menu and the second one will be exclusively for the one page navigation menu. This menu should have a different href. In the primary menu, the home menu item should have a href of http://example.com/ and the 2nd menu will have the href of #cs-content.

Hope this explains it briefly.

I want the user to be taken below the home page video when they click the home link in the navbar, which is why the primary menu is assigned with domain.com/#cs-content versus domain.com

Everything else appears to be setup like you are describing:

I have two menus, one menu is titled “one page menu” and has anchor links i.e. #anchor versus domain.com/#anchor

Then I have another menu titled “non-home page menu” which is assigned as Primary. This primary menu contains full urls i.e. domain.com/#anchor versus #anchor

You have setup correctly.

It seems like a bug I will report to our development team.

In the meanwhile I have given the ID of gpd-section to your first section on your home page and I connect your menus to #gpd-section instead if #cs-content and it seems to be working fine now.
