Wordpress 4.0
X 2.6.0
Ethos Child Theme
X-Shortcodes 2.5.0
http://vanityrouge.comI have selected to use the “recent posts” shortcode at the end of my posts but because it is inside of the post it also appears in an RSS feed. I would like to continue to have my full content in my RSS but want to hide the “recent posts” from the feed because it looks quite messy at the end of my posts and when I post several times a day the feed gets really long with duplicate data. Is there something I can do to block this?
Thanks for your help!

Can you please provide us a screenshot of RSS feed that has a messy look? It will help us understanding the issue in more detail.
Thanks.
October 16, 2014 at 5:26 pm #126681I am sorry I do not know how to do a screen shot or attach an image to this reply. If you can let me know how to do that I will send it over. Thank you.
October 16, 2014 at 5:27 pm #126683Also, if you go to feedly.com and type in vanityrouge.com you can see what I mean. 🙂 I guess to clarify it doesn’t look “messy” just confusing because the featured images are so large they appear to be part of the content vs. just being suggested reading. I was just wondering if there is a way to hide the recent posts shortcode or even make the images smaller. I guess it also looks the same when viewing it on a mobile device as well. Maybe I could hide the content on mobile? Not sure if that is something I read somewhere or I’m making that up. Lol, I’m totally confused at this point so I will just hope you understand what I’m trying to say. 😉

I can’t find any duplicates from your RSS feed http://vanityrouge.com/feed/

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how this goes!
July 16, 2015 at 2:58 pm #332438Hi,
I tried turning off 3rd party plugins but none of the shortcodes appear on rss feed: http://prntscr.com/7ti91n
1. the first one pertains to a tabbed content
2. the next is an icon shortcode before the “,B”
3. the spread the news and share doesn’t have social links to itIs this because any shortcodes will not reflect under rss feed?
July 16, 2015 at 5:07 pm #332551Hi there,
How should it look like?
I’m getting this
And social share has no links, because they are just button that has share functionality. It’s different follow button where it uses profile links.
Thanks!
July 16, 2015 at 5:32 pm #332568Yes, I get that as well but the problem I’m having is if it’s being pulled for RSS under http://bootsandboysenberry.com/feed this is what I see: http://prntscr.com/7ti91n
Also, is there a way to adjust image sizes in rss?
