444mediaParticipantI am banging by head against the wall trying to get the timing of these text layers on my home page (ccrcofamerica.com) to fade in, then fade out before the next one. I have read all of the Rev Slider documentation on this (at https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/layer-animations-timeline/) but still can’t get these text layers to do what I want them to do.
I have the layers set up and the animations set too, I just can’t get the timing to do this:
1. The word “Caring” fades in, (after the 4 colored boxes pop up) holds for about 2 seconds, then fades out.
2. As “Caring” fades out, “Compassion” fades in in the same spot, holds for about 2 seconds, then fades out
3. As “Compassion” fades out, “Comfort” fades in in the same spot, holds for about 2 seconds, then fades out
4. As “Comfort” fades out, “Affordable” fades in in the same spot, holds for about 2 seconds, then fades out
5. As “Affordable” fades out, their company logo (“CCRC logo”) layer fades in, and stays there…never fades out.
I’d like these text layers positioned on top of each other (in the same spot on the screen). Right now they are stacked but that was just while I was working on the timing.
I got the 4 colored boxes to time exactly how I want, so I feel like I understand how the timing bars are supposed to work…..but it’s just not working. Every time I get one working, the other ones change. They are all messed up now. I tried just adjusting the times in the “layer Animation Timing” box (instead of sliding the bars), so to get it exact, but whatever I input never stuck, or it would change on me.
If I give login credentials can you guys help with the timing? (Looks like I can’t make this initial post private, so will have to wait for reply to post login credentials.)

Thanks!

Paul RModeratorHi,
Thanks for writing in!
It seems you are referring to a different slider rather than the slider in your homepage.
I don’t see the text Caring, Compassion, Comfort & Affordable

Can you provide us the url of the page where we can see the issue.
Thanks

444mediaParticipantwell that’s strange! That is my home page shown in your screencast. And I just checked myself and they do briefly appear (the words and logo), but then disappear. But that’s what I am talking about….I cannot get these text layers to perform properly. If you go into the back end, you’ll see in Rev. Slider that it is the only slider (CCRChomepage). The area for these layers would be above the “our vision” box….centered in that empty area. But I can place the layers, I just the timing issue worked out.
Thanks so much!

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Beside each layer on Revolution Slider you have a time lime.
By clicking on the timeline of a layer, the Layer Animation Timing Box will pop up and you will be able to adjust the starting and ending time of the layer, you also can setup the speed, I reccomend you leaving the same the same.
Please see img attached.
I am note sure what are your ideas but you will need to setup something like
Word 1 : Start: 0 Finishes 5000
Word 2 Starts 5000 Finishes 1000In this way one word would go out when the other comes in, but if you prefer to keep the words togheter but just poping up with different timing you just need to change the starting time and keep the ending time the same for all of them.
** As you mentioned it did not work I performed some test and change the starting time of Caring, Compasion and Comfort – It is working.
Hope that helps,
Joao

444mediaParticipantThank you Joao. Unfortunately that’s exactly what I tried before…but doesn’t work. Tried to just adjust it numerically, as opposed to using the sliders, as you suggested above, and didn’t function as you would think it should. I do want the words to appear, and then disappear before the next one, and in the same spot. So I moved the layers now to about where I’d like them on the screen then set the times as follows:
Caring:
S: 2410
E: 4000Compassion:
S: 4000
E: 6000Comfort:
S: 6000
E: 8000Affordable:
S: 8000
E: 10000Logo:
S: 10000
E: 500000So based on the above settings, you would think it would work, but it doesn’t (not sure if 2 seconds between each is what I want, but can adjust that later). I entered the above numbers in the Layer Animation Timing box for each layer and hit Enter and then Save after each. But doesn’t save and adjusts to some random numbers. So when you go in there you won’t see exactly as I entered above….just doesn’t allow me to keep the settings above.
Thank for your continued help!

444mediaParticipantI believe the issue may be related to the End Speed adjustment in the Layer Animation Timing box. For some reason the text layers, “Caring”, Affordable” and “Comfort” won’t let me save a different End Speed value. I keep trying to change “Caring” layer’s end speed to 300ms and it changes it to 19510; “Comfort” changes itself to 40070 ms and “Affordable” to 35760 ms. Though oddly, the “compassion” text layer let me change the end speed to 300 ms.
So as a result, even though there is an end time, the end speed is so high that they just very slowly fade away.

444mediaParticipantI think I got it. I just have to have more time than 2000 ms between layers. Seems to be working now. BUT what I said above about the values not saving and changing from, for example, 300 to 19510….all happened and have no idea why it was doing that and why now it is not.
