Kade McConvilleParticipantBeen doing a lot of optimising of my site, who isn’t haha? but get the following notice from GTmetrix the minify ccs and javascript with the following values….
There are 7 components that can be minified;
inline <style> tag #10
inline <script> tag #28
inline <script> tag #36
inline <script> tag #39
inline <script> tag #42
inline <script> tag #43
inline <script> tag #44—
Now i was advised that…
“That’s the inline css that X inserts right in the code of the page (not in a separate css file) when using the custom css functions of the theme. Therefore there’s no way to minify them separately. The only way would be to minify the whole html page, or move the custom css into the child theme so it gets minified with the child css file.”
My question is, how do i move the custom css into the child theme? i.e. where from, where to.
Thanks!

Kade McConvilleParticipantHi there,
Doesnt help unfortunately. I want to know where these inline script tags are (not cannot be minified and are the x themes script tags) and where to move them to in my child theme please?
Thanks.

ChristianModeratorHey Kade,
The inline CSS is outputted by the Customizer. It is dynamic so we do not recommend and support moving it. Here’s a similar thread if you want to give it a shot https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/move-inline-css-to-external-file/. Please take note though that issues arising from customization is not supported.
Thanks.
