Bought my 3rd licence last night for a new website hosted by Go Daddy and have been attempting to get the Church theme to load – each time I do i get “Were sorry the demo failed to finish importing”. Note I have managed to load the basic integrity 1 as a test to see if the theme was working (and it is).
Apologies for the ne-newb question (particularly as I had worked this out on previous websites). Of note, I have called Go daddy tech support who talked me through increasing the file/upload size etc. The team there said wait 5 minutes for the site to update and the church theme is still failing to work.
Grateful for some help with this….I bet its something simple!

Please don’t post credentials and your wp config publicly. Change your configuration especially, db name and password. Once done, post it in a private reply including access to WordPress admin and cPanel.

There is no upload functionality in demo import, it’s downloading the demo from our server. Have they tried the demo import and trace what’s going on? Based on my experience with the issue, it’s not something that can be solved as they redirect users to us without investigating what’s really happening. It’s either due to restriction or security feature, demo import uses transients for saving data, and transient are blocked by Godaddy, it can’t be cleared just how the cache is cleared. Installing transient manager will only display one transient data, and it’s Godaddy’s transient related to blacklisted URLs.
You can switch to another host, or install a local site in your computer and import the demo there, then migrate it to your Godaddy.

Which smaller demo? The standard will import since it’s been on the transient and didn’t change. The expanded demo won’t import is due to error “Invalid Demo Name”. Have to clear the transients for it to work, but that’s not possible. Godaddy will only reply that they already cleared the cache without any details if it’s related to transient. Expanded demo is changing since it’s new, there will be new demo and new contents.
