IluminaGParticipantHi. Non-developer here who can usually fix minor problems —- but this one has me stumped.
Problem: Blog post text URL links do not work when published.
Note #1: Links on overall blog page all work fine. I am talking *only* about links added to blog post text itself, in individual posts.
Note #2: Links DO appear to be functional in visual / text edit modes, as well as functional in preview mode and view mode. They are only NOT functional (not appearing at all), in the final published form — thus, the rest of the world sees no linked text in the blog post I’ve published.
Am using most current versions of X theme & Cornerstone.
Help please? Thank you!!September 22, 2016 at 2:03 pm #1186870

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
We could not thoroughly check because the given user access has a very limited access. The issue could just be a caching issue. Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Hope this helps.

RadModeratorHi there,
Another support and post links are correctly displaying and working. Maybe we’re just looking on different area? How about a video recording? Visual guide should be helpful 🙂
Thanks!

IluminaGParticipantDid you look at the site as a public viewer? That’s where the links aren’t showing up; had some friends check for me.
I do see the links when I look at it through the dashboard.
Not sure what you mean about a video recording? If you’re directing me to a how-to, a link would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much and please let me know what you find out.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
@Rad wants you to have a video recording about your site. Regretfully, at this time we are not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.Thank you.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for the clarifications! This isn’t an issue at all. Please know that in the blog index or archive pages, the post items will display the excerpts taken from your posts. By default, WordPress will generate automatically the first 55 words from the post to the excerpt. In this course, any html code such as your link were stripped out because only text is allowed to be displayed in the excerpt.
The best recommendation I could give is to enable the full content index. You can find this setting in the customizer, please add the following css code in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Blog > Content. Selecting the “Enable Full Post Content on Index” option below will allow the entire contents of your posts to be shown on the post index pages for all stacks. Deselecting this option will allow you to set the length of your excerpt.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

IluminaGParticipantAha! So simple, thank you for all the time you put it into this. Issue solved!
