    I am looking to reduce the size of the header (where the logo sits) but maintain the size of the logo so that it overhangs onto the image. Is that possible?

    Hi there,

    You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.

    .masthead.masthead-stacked, .x-logobar {
    height: 100px;
    overflow: visible;
    z-index: 9999;
}

    Hope this helps.
