    Hello,

    I am having troubles uploading my theme. I first uploaded the theme by only uploading “X.zip” but found that no plugins were installed with it.

    I then tried re-installing the theme by uploading the entire file I got when I purchased it, but then I was given the error: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Not sure where to go from here as I want to make sure I’ve got everything properly installed!

    Hey There,

    Thanks for writing in!

    This might have been a corrupt download file of the theme.

    Kindly re-download the theme from your account and re-install it.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately I am still getting the same error!

    ‘Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.’

    Hi There,

    In that case I recommend you performing a manual upload.

    2. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.

    1. Access your website via FTP and access /wp-content/themes/ and place your x theme folder there.

    5. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.

    Should I be installed the document called “themeforest-5871901-x-the-theme.zip” or “x.zip”

    Hi again,

    If you’re uploading the theme via FTP then you should unzip x.zip first and then upload the parent X folder. Make sure you upload the parent folder after unzipping the x.zip file. To confirm this, open the unzipped folder and you should see the theme files inside. If you see another x folder inside then upload that one.
