AJ MParticipantSo I’ve been seriously out of the loop with what’s been happening with X. We’ve been perfectly happy with the version we’ve been running and the iteration of the website we’ve made with it. However, upon a recent update of WordPress itself, we found that the version of Visual Composer bundled with X v3.1.1 no longer functioned. So, we decided to try and update X too to see if everything would just fall in line… obviously not.
The website was built with extremely heavy use of X shortcodes. And so, since there isn’t (or doesn’t appear to be) any backwards compatibility between the current version of X with Cornerstone and the version we’re running (v3.1.1), I suppose I’m wondering what sort of advice you might have for someone in my situation, since the entire website completely falls apart when we try to update to the latest version of X.
Be well,

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please clone your site in a staging site and update theme and plugins, disable x shortcodes plugin and visit X addons page to install cornerstone automatically. Then provide us with URL and login credentials and let us know what are the issues.
Thanks.
