The CSS Class Name field in Gravity Forms’ Form Settings will hold a value, but only until I click ‘update form’ in the form editor, then this value disappears.
I activated the TwentyFourteen theme and the issue did not persist, so I can only conclude it’s a conflict with the theme.

I have tried adding a class name to the gravity form in the homepage and it seems to be working fine. See screenshot attached.
If you are trying to point out a different issue that I missed, would you mind providing more details so that we could check it further.

I’m referring to the CSS Class Name field in the Form Settings admin page. I’m not trying to add a class to an individual field or element, rather the form itself.
I’m referring to 2 different admin pages here. When I click to update the form editor page, the value I entered in the Form Settings page gets deleted.
Thanks again, there’s a specific reason I need the form itself to have a certain class name.

Please specify which form you are having an issue with and kindly provide us the urls of the pages where we can see the form you are referring to.
I tried adding a class to quick form from the gravity form settings and it seems to be working.

Hey Charlie,
I did what you described. I created a new form then add a class to the Form Settings and clicked UPDATE FORM SETTINGS. Then, I went on and UPDATE FORM several times and the class in Form Settings page still exist.
Did you also include your custom function related to Gravity Forms in 2014 theme? I took a quick look at it and it seems to modify functionality related to CSS Class. Would you mind removing it?

I just did the same steps to your Contact Form and the test class remains. Please clear all caches including browser history and check again.

Thanks, this appears to be fixed. I’m confused though because if you guys didn’t do anything, the problem apparently has fixed itself. I won’t be surprised if it starts doing it again though.
