tlauenParticipantHi!
I’ve had some trouble with using the google maps block in cornerstone as it freezes a couple of seconds after the page is finished loading. I’ve added Google API key (following the instructions in a video posted here: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/map-error/page/3/) in the cornerstone block, but it doesn’t seem to help. Also tried flushing all cache on the site to no avail…
The page in question: https://hordaland.flywheelsites.com/lokallag/
Also, if I use maps on several pages, do I need to paste inn the Google API key for each page, or is it enough pasting it once?

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! I have checked and the map seems loading fine.
Make sure to use the latitude and longitude values properly for both map and marker.
Cheers!

tlauenParticipantHi!
The markers are placed correctly, but the map still freezes after a couple of seconds after loading. Tested in both Firefox, Safari and Chrome…

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. I have tested with major browsers but couldn’t face such issue. It seems totally fine.
Cheers!

tlauenParticipantThis is quite a frustrating answer, but I get that it works on your computer. But I’ve now also had friends and family try on their computers and 7/10 get the same problem as me, the rest it works for. How can that be?
To be clear: Problem is not loading the map, but that it after a few seconds freezes. Meaning you can no longer drag, zoom or click on the markers.

ADS MediaParticipantNot sure if this helps, but I noticed this in Chrome’s Developer tools for your page with the map:

(text in case the image is too small: “You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors. js?v=3&key=AIzaSyDYcaVy5vLWcUHuoagFp8TAsQHgeXF4V7E&ver=4.7.1:93”)I checked on similar sites of mine with a large number of pins, and I do not get that error. Might be a clue.

RupokMemberHi @tlauen
As you are using lots of marker, the scripts behind this will numerous. So definitely some low-end device/browsers might not handle this properly and there is nothing to do with the theme. If you map is heavy, it will behave same on any theme.
Hope this makes sense.

tlauenParticipantA MacBook Pro is a low end device?

tlauenParticipant@ADS Media: Best tip so far! But how is it possible when i only have entered it once into the cornerstone block?
