RahulModeratorHi there,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.

Johannes GParticipantI did. But nothing changed.

Nabeel AModeratorHi again,
The Google Maps APIs require an API key for new domains as of June 22nd, 2016. See announcement: http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com.au/2016/06/building-for-scale-updates-to-google.html I will forward this to our development team and they will look into this matter.
Thank you for understanding!

AnonymousInactiveAccording to yesterday’s July 4 post, the dev team is working on this Google Maps API issue (above). Is that still the case? If it is, please let us know, so that we can move on to other projects. I say this because I have seen a few posts in this forum saying that they have a fix, but I have yet to see a working fix that I can put into my child functions.php file.
Also, is there plugin conflict? Can you provide specifics? I’m working with a fresh install, so I don’t have that many plugins that I can try to deactivate.
And finally, I’ve seen posts in other forums where other theme developers have put Google Map API Key fields into their customization sections. I think this would be the ideal fix for the X theme. Much cleaner than child theme updates.
Thanks.

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! We apologize, we are not able to give you a definite timetable. Our dev team have a number of items in their pipeline and are always working to improve X. We do provide information via our changelog during our update releases. We will post there if there is a fix when it is ready.
Regarding plugin conflicts, we’re not able to provide specifics as there are just way too many factors involved and too many plugins to check them all. However, we do let users know here on the forum if we have known conflicts that we are working on should they happen to come across one and we are aware of the conflict.
Regarding Google Map API, thank you for your suggestion. I will send it to our dev team as a feature request. I can’t promise implementation or a timeline at this point, however, we do listen to our users and we’re always trying to improve. When we see something beneficial we do our best to make it happen. We’re actually working on a number of things so if this does get added to the pipeline, we’ll be sure to announce it when it’s ready. Thanks for understanding! Have a great day!

Bonnie WParticipantThis is kind of a big thing, for those of us who are using x on professional sites. I know that it’s a pain to keep up with third-party shifts, but you have a great reputation and following. If I were a new user, it would be a deal-breaker. Can you do better than a canned “pipeline” response?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! Just last July 7, we have release X 4.6.0 and Cornerstone 1.3.0 which are now available in automatic updates! This release contains fixes for several issues including the Google Maps API issue so be sure to check out the changelog. Please do update to the latest version. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Hope this helps.

CBClakelandParticipantIs there any update on this? I am still having issues…
October 31, 2016 at 2:09 am #1237466
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating this thread! The Google maps issue were addressed in our 1.3.2 release. Please checkout the changelog here: https://theme.co/changelog/#cornerstone-1-3-2
By the way, if you have installed UberMenu, Ubermenu is loading Google MAP API too. Please disable it because it will be loaded by Cornerstone only if you add a Google Map element. Go to Ubermenu Control Panel > General Settings Tab > Assets > Load Google Maps API: Uncheck this.
Hope this helps.
