    Dear support team,
Google Maps doesn´t appear in the contact page of my site and in an external event plugin I´m using.
the Java script console tells me that Java script is being blocked. Can you point me in a direction on how to solve this?
    thanks for your help,
    Moritz

    Hi There,

Google changed some settings and now you need to generate an API key to use Google Maps.

Please watch this video to learn how to generate an API key, make sure you have X and WordPress updated to the latest version and you will find a API field on your Google Maps Element.

    Hope that helps,

    Joao

thanks Joao, that worked for the contact page.
I´m using the eventon plugin as well which has google maps included and the issue wasn´t fixed there. I read that I have to add some php code snippet with the api key in it to the bottom of the functions.php file. I did that but it broke my whole site. Is there a special way to add this code or a special version of that code for X theme?
    thanks for your help!

    Hello Moritz,

Can you give us a link where google map is not working? Most probably, the issue is because Google Map API is loaded twice. Since it is loaded by the theme already, please try to disable it on eventon plugin. Please check #29 on this link:http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/frequently-asked-questions/

    Hope this helps.

It looks like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

    Thank you for your understanding.
