NLeVasseurParticipantHi there,
I am using a plugin that requires a Google Map Java script API. I got the API, loaded it, and the map is showing.
But, I am getting a number of warnings when viewing the console. So, while I’m happy that the map is finally showing, I have little confidence that they will show in the future.
More info to follow. . .
thanks!August 8, 2016 at 4:29 pm #1122774

RupokMemberHi Nancy,
I can’t see any error on console for map. However if you are using any third party plugin that includes Google Map script as well; you might face this. The plugin should have have a option to disable script if that follow the best practices.
Cheers!

RupokMemberHi Nancy,
I have taken a deeper look and the issue is same as I stated first. Note that Google Map API is already included to theme since there is map element in Cornerstone. You don’t even need to place the API Key for the plugin you are using and it will show without that. But the issue is the plugin still loading another instance of Google Map while it’s already present on theme. But a standard plugin should have option to opt-out the script by a checkbox in settings to avoid such issue. I am not saying it’s a plugin issue but certainly they are missing the option.
If you can’t control this from plugin you can ignore this since it won’t hurt your map I believe. a
Cheers!

ChristianModeratorSorry for the confusion. Google Maps API script is only added when you use the Google Map element.
The console errors does not come from X nor Cornerstone.
Would you mind setting up a development server to test your plugin on another theme?
Thanks.

RupokMemberThanks for updating Nancy. Surely let us know if you need help. Hopefully it won’t affect the Map to show anyway.
Cheers!
