bakParticipantHi
I have google maps on my contact page and it used to work fine. I now migrated the page under a new URL and I suppose this is causing trouble. Can you let me know how to fix this?September 11, 2016 at 8:02 am #1170097

ChristianModeratorHey Bak,
Google Maps made an update to the API so you must upgrade to the latest version of X and Cornerstone should fix the issue.
Thanks.

blewisbParticipantI’ve updated x and cornerstone and still having issues. I was able to add in an api key for the cornerstone google maps element. But I’ve got a lot of x_google_map shortcodes that are still having issues. Is it possible to add in a parameter to the x_google_map shortcode for the api key? Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Please edit your page and supply a Google Map API key. You might need to generate your own API if needed. To know how you can generate, please check out this video:
Hope this helps.

bakParticipantHi there
I don’t know what google cloud platform is as I do not use it.
Is there another way to fix this?
Thanks

ChristianModeratorIf you’re using Google Maps shortcode, insert your Google Maps API to the
api_keyfield like[x_google_map api_key="YOUR_API"]Thanks.

bakParticipantHi there, sorry but this is still unclear to me
1) I am using Cornerstone, not shortcodes
2) how do i get the “YOUR_API” information?September 13, 2016 at 9:59 am #1173152

ChristianModeratorThe code provided is just an example. But, since you’re using Cornerstone, add your API to the API field and setup the rest of the Google Map element options. The options are the same as before except the API field which was just added recently because of Google Maps changes.
Thanks.
