ThomxnjParticipantHi,
Im using the Envira gallery to display three GIFs. The animations work when viewing them in the lightbox (only once, for some reason, not continuous), but they don’t work when they’re in the gallery layout. Is Envira compatible with GIF files? If so, how do I get this to function properly?
Thanks in advance!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! The GIF in the gallery doesn’t play the animated gif because it is the cropped version. Please edit the gallery and make sure that the image size being displayed is the full size and original image. In your gallery at the moment, it is displaying this image: http://www.ecocleannj.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/eco-clean-house-wash-animation-1-640x480_c.gif and the full image is this: http://www.ecocleannj.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/eco-clean-house-wash-animation-1.gif
Hope this explains it briefly.

ThomxnjParticipantHi, thanks for your response.
I removed the cropping in Envira’s settings, but that doesn’t seem to have done the trick.

RadModeratorHi there,
I tried but no luck. Envira Gallery doesn’t have options for the original image, there is an option for custom size but the image will still be processed. And process image will not animate as the original gif. It doesn’t have option for javascript to I can easily switch it to original size through jQuery.
Perhaps, you should try Essential Grid instead of Envira Gallery. That grid plugin has more options https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-essential-grid/
Thanks!

ThomxnjParticipantHi,
Thank you for your response.
I’ve been looking into the Essential Grid, but I haven’t found anything in the forum or knowledge base that would suggest the ability to have a GIF displayed in the thumbnail of the image.
Can you confirm that this is possible?
Thank you!

RupokMemberHi there,
I don’t think gif will work since the cropped image won’t be a gif anymore.
Thanks!
