NootropicsitaliaParticipantHello everyone,
i have looked all over the internet trying to find an answer for this, but none said it was “really possibile” by just uploading the GIF as the featured image. I read WordPress’s automatic resize of the image is what cause the animation to be not functional anymore.
None talked about the X themes; So my question is if it is possibile to do this by changing the CSS of my current site, or any other way possibile.

RupokMemberHi Shady,
Yes it’s possible in X. But if the featured image is used as cropped image anywhere then the gif might not work. However it should work in most of the place in X.
You should have just upload a gif image as featured image to check this instead of asking as it’s easier and time saving.
Thanks

NootropicsitaliaParticipantUnfortunately it does not work, i tried many times to upload the gif as a featured picture, but it just give me an error image, like it does not recognise it.

RupokMemberHi again.
I have tried and gif works fine and there is no issue of uploading gif to WordPress as it’s supported. Maybe your gif file is corrupted. If you are trying to upload the file as you mentioned on first post, it’s not a gif rather video. Upload a valid .gif file.
Hope this makes sense.
