We have purchased several licences for x-theme and all have been validated and we have been able to generate an API Key for each license as requested.
However, we purchased a new license today and assigned it to http://www.mayfairbeautiq.com.
WE have spent hours going round in circles trying to find out how to generate an API Key for this website as required prior to adding extensions!!!!
What has changed and how do we get round this eternal circle of endeavourinf to validate the license and then being presented with a screen asking for an API Key when there is no obvious option to do so.
Really getting very frustrated – please provide clear instructions therefore allowing us to use what is a great theme with all extensions and plugins – a great theme at a premium price – so please help us out here?

Thanks for writing in!

Fortunately, we have made the validation process a bit easier by not generating any API Keys. You can now validate a new website just with the Purchase code. For more information, you can follow below given link.

Yes, we have followed this link and we continuously get a screen asking for an API Key.

We have fourteen live x-theme licenses and cannot progress this latest one,

We go to Add Ons then go to Activate and are asked for an API Key – we have tried using the Purchase Code which is always rejected.

The purchase code is : 914d5845-f04f-4ff2-be4d-dabe782b1168 which has been assigned to http://www.mayfairbeautiq.com – can you just send me an API Key so we can progress this development?

Hi John

If your theme is asking for an API Key it is most likely you have an outdated version of the theme.

Now we no longer work directly with the purchase code.

1. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.

2. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

3. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

4. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.
