Ryanbrown1987ParticipantHey team,
I was wondering how I can selectively make certain photos in blog posts full width no container. There is a site that I follow who has certain images full screen and it adds such an amazing effect. Here is the website example: http://www.kuld.world/i-c-e-l-a-n-dMy website: http://www.LostBoymemoirs.com
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Your website seems fullwidth, if you want to make the posts fullwidth then you can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.
.single-post .x-container.max.width.main { max-width: 100%; width: 100%; }You will need to add some padding to the section to make it better.
Cheers!

Ryanbrown1987ParticipantHey team,
I know that the them is full width, but I just want to make certain images, not the whole post, edge to edge.December 12, 2016 at 11:38 am #1290217
RupokMemberHi there,
You can’t simply make an image fullwidth without making the container fullwidth first. So you need to make the container fullwidth and then add the padding or container for the sections where you don’t need fullwidth.
Hope this makes sense.

Ryanbrown1987ParticipantHi there,
The problem is, by inserting that code, it makes every aspect of my theme full width edge to edge. So now all of the text, the comments, etc is pressed against the edges. I just want to selectively make certain images full length. Is this possible without affecting the whole theme? Thanks.

Paul RModeratorHi,
To achieve that, you need to select a No container template.

Then turn on column container for section’s you want to contain and off if you want it to go edge to edge.

Hope that helps.

Ryanbrown1987ParticipantHi Paul,
The no container works if I was doing everything from Cornerstone originally. given that cornerstone has only been around recently, that would mean I have to go back through every single past post that wasn’t edited through cornerstone and redo them because if I put no container, it makes everything edge to edge. Is here a way to simply add a code to each image I want to have no container on, or a feature that will be added to select how an image should be displayed when added? If the no container button was in the image options instead of post wide options it would make it much easier.Let me know please, thank you.

Ryanbrown1987ParticipantAlso to note: The page layout options for no container are only on Pages, not posts. Posts have the option of checking “full width” but still has padding on the sides.

JadeModeratorHI Ryan,
Unfortunately, in this situation the only option would be to manually edit and set the page templates because what you are trying to achieve is quite specific and requires customization as it doesn’t follow the normal structure of the layout that you currently have right now. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself.
Thank you.
