    Hi,

I haven’t gotten a reply to my question on July 2nd yet. I’m creating a site for a client who used Jotforms on their old theme, and it’s not working on X. Is it possible to make Jotforms work with this theme, or do I need to switch? Which forms are compatible with this theme? I read that Gravity Forms works – is that all? Thank you. Hoping to get this resolved and the site completed today.

    Hey Milo,

Unfortunately Jotforms is not compatible with X theme.

Gravity Forms plugin is premium plugin & yes, it’s compatible with X theme.

But you can use Contact Form 7 or Ninja Forms plugin which are popular among WordPress community & works fine with X theme.

    Contact Form 7

Ninja Forms – The Contact Form Builder That Grows With You

    Hope this helps, Cheers!

    Hi Milo,

FWIW a website I developed is using JotForms by embedding the JotForm code in a web page without any problems. http://stlukechurch.com/website-blog-post-request/

That said, it’s a basic form so it may or may not meet your client’s needs.

Contact Form 7 works fine of course and I have several client’s using Gravity Forms as well.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for sharing Rich.

Milo, you can try placing the JotForm code in Raw HTML.

    Thanks.

It seems like a recent upgrade to WPBakery makes it incompatible with Ninja Forms. Specifically, the Ninja Forms short code [ninja_forms_field id=##] appears to no longer work. Today I turned off all plugins, and Ninja Forms worked as expected. I then left all plugins off except for WPBaker Visual Composer, and then this Ninja Forms short code stopped working.

I talked to Ninja Forms support about this. They said:

    # We do not provide any support for visual composers. They seem like good
    # tools for tweaking pages, but in reality they do a lot of “hacky” things to
    # your pages to make them look the way you want that have the potential to
    # break other things on your site.
    #
    # WP Bakery visual composer released an update the same day that we released
    # our 2.7 update. Nothing in our update should have changed that
    # compatibility (we only changed our submissions layout, not anything with
    # our shortcodes), but many users of WP Bakery VC have found that it breaks
    # their Ninja Forms short codes.
    #
    # I’m sorry I cannot offer you anything more than that. I would recommend
    # reaching out to them to see if they will be able to assist.

I can’t contact WPBaker support directly, because they will only let you create a support ticket account if you bought Visual Composer from them rather than as part of X-Theme.

Could you let WPBakery know about this incompatibility and ask if they think they might be able to fix it?

Are there issues using Ninja forms and cornerstone in X?

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating this thread! There should be no issues with Ninja forms as we strictly follows the standards of WordPress to make sure that most plugins will work with X smoothly.

If you need anything else we can help you with, don’t hesitate to open another thread.

I’m having issues trying to use the X extension email form with the content dock. I’m trying to integrate a mailchimp email list.

I attached an image of the problems I’m getting. Sections of code visible on the site. It happens no matter where I insert the email forms shortcode.

Otherwise, it seems to work properly.
