tashitendrelParticipantHello,
I use Renew stack and created child theme. And to apply pattern i have removed background from web and widgets with custom css according to directions found on this forum (which is great!). I have also removed round backgrounds from social media icons and now I have a white bar on the page, which clearly is a footer, because when I add a widget to the footer, it appears on that white bar. Here I attach screenshot with logo added to the footer (via widget – text – html). Please help.
I need to add that at the very beginning the footer was not at the bottom, there was a scpace between footer and bootom of the page, which was removed by the first css customation.

tashitendrelParticipantAdditional piece of info, I am attaching the screenshot from cornerstone, when the setting are: no container, no head and footer. The footer is still there! and it’s double…
I really got stuck with this and cannot move on with the project even a bit..

JadeModeratorHi there,
Would you mind providing a bit more information about the issue you are having with the footer as I am not sure at the moment based on the info you have provided.
I have tested using the template Blank – No Container | No Header, No Sidebar, No Footer and it seems to be working fine. Kindly check the page I created named X Support Test. Please make sure you have set the template first and saved the page before opening it in Cornerstone to make sure the correct template is used.

tashitendrelParticipantHello, thank you for looking into it.
On the pages I have created before there was a white blank space. Next I discovered that text widget i was trying to add to the footer was coming up on that white space, not on the footer… It was showing on both customiser and cornerstone. Today, encouraged by your new nice looking pages, I have trashed all my pages and created them again. But:
– Now, I can still see that white space on the X Support Test 2 you have created. With the logo that should go on the footer…
On my newly created pages that white space doesnt come at first, but as soon as I add a section, white bar appeaers just above the footer. See page About.– why the logo added in the footer widgets doesnt come up in the footer? I have added text widget with:
<img src=”http://wildlotusart.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/wild-lotus.png” style=”width: 20px;”
class=”aligncenter”>does it look OK. to you?
– also I want to have a sidebar on a few pages. I have created 3 sidebars and linked them to 3 different pages (About, Blog, Prints). Those pages have ‘sidebar lef, content right’ format asigned, but after openning that page in cornerstone, I dont see a sidebar and cannot change general settings of the page.
– the page presenting Blog seems to have no cornerstone tool availabe at all, actually no editing setings at all. If I press ‘edit in cornestone’ from Pages list, I can see posts in fullwidth, again, without sidebar. And again there is that white space above footer.
Could you help me figure aout what is wrong?? thank you

Paul RModeratorHi,
1. To remove the white space above your footer, you can set footer widgets to none.
http://screencast.com/t/HWE3z7xktaZ
Please note that in the video, I can see your logo.
2. Page template will not work once you have selected content layout to full width

3. Yes, the page becomes uneditable once you set it as your blog page. This is a wordpress standard and this page is automatically populated with posts.
Hope these makes sense.

tashitendrelParticipantThank you so much! Ok, I get it. It is better to make the sidebar as a default and change individual pages into fullwidh if needed.
If I remove widget area from the footer, which I wanted to use just to place a logo, would you have some other suggestion how to add logo to the footer?
thank youMay 19, 2016 at 9:57 am #999544
RahulModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You can simply add your logo HTML codes into the Customizer -> Footer -> Footer Content section and then you can control them by using CSS rules.
Hope that helps.
