I use Fontawesome mostly for the featured headlines. For some reason it has stopped loading for the featured headlines. It still loads in the footer on the homepage and other pages for the Phone and Mail icons at the bottom but not on any of the headlines. =( I’m not sure what to do at this point.

I tried generating new featured headlines just in case the code changed but it looked identical. I did not use Visual Composer for the site, I don’t think it was around when I created the site.

Hi Jeremy,

Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes.

My apologies for not getting back sooner. Deadlines crept up and I forgot about this. I went through and updated the theme and all plugins and still no luck. Removed some other plugins that I didn’t think were necessary and still no luck. Disabled all plugins except X – Google Analytics and X – Shortcodes and still no luck. Tried switching from the Child Theme to the normal X Theme and still no luck. Here is a list of plugins and versions currently running.

• WPBakery Visual Composer Ver. 4.12(only plugin not up to date because it’s packaged)
• X – Google Analytics Ver. 1.0.0
• X – Shortcodes Ver. 3.0.5

Not sure if I’m missing a key plugin or something. I noticed the most recent download from Themeforest has a whole folder of extensions, most of which I don’t have on there because I’ve had X-Theme on there since October 2014.

Hi there,

It seems you are still using X – Shortcodes that’s already replaced by Cornerstone. Kindly remove this and install Cornerstone. If you are using latest version of X; Cornerstone should be installed automatically. In that case just remove the X – Shortcodes plugin.

That did it. Thank you so much! I had to manually install cornerstone. Maybe because when I updated it was a little into version 4.x of X.
