On my site, I tried to import some FontAwesome icons in the footer. When I edit a page with Cornerstone, the icons are there, as they should be, but when I return to the normal site, the icons disappear. The difference on the normal site and when I’m editing the page with Cornerstone is that there’s no ::before between the <i> tags on the normal page.

My website is http://www.de-itconsultant.nl and I’m using theme X.

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Could you please provide us with the page URL that you’re referring to, so that we can check your issue.

    Thanks!

It happens on every page of http://www.de-itconsultant.nl where the footer is active, unless there’s /?cornerstone=1 behind the url (so when Cornerstone is active).

    Hi there,

I figured out your issue now. We have a guide on how to use our shortcodes here (http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/icons/). For example, you can use our shortcodes using a Text widget in the Widget area.

Add the following code into your Text widget, so that it will render your icons properly.

     [x_icon type="user"] Candlelight-Specials [x_icon type="map-marker"] Veldboersweg 10 - 7679 TL - Langeveen

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, worked like a charm! Used the default FA shortcodes, didn’t know there were special ones for this theme.
