Oliver VParticipantHello!
I have everything updated and using ethos 1.
Problem I have is with the Filter By Topic filter.
I have seen in other threat that I can have an All filterable option just adding a category and selecting this “All” category in all my post, but problem is when I am using related posts plugins.
Then it shows always the same related plugins. So, is there any other way to have an “All” option available in the “Filter by Topic” option in Ethos without using the category option?
Thanks!
Oliver.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Filtering work with categories, please add some categories. It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.

Oliver VParticipantHello!
I did added the categories and it works like it should be and there are not problems with other plugins.
Maybe I did not explain very well… Let´s take for example the Ethos demo in: http://demo.theme.co/ethos-1/
You will find the “filter by topic” with the categories. The first time you load the demo you can see all the posts displayed, but if you press, for example, “Fashion”, you will have all the “fashion” categories displayed.
The problem is, same in my site, How do you get again all the items listed? We do not have any option…
Thanks!
Oliver.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Thanks for clarifying.
You need to create a category and call it ‘All’, then assign all posts to this new category as well.Hope it helps.

Oliver VParticipantHi!
Thanks for your reply and suggestion.
That´s what I actually I did following suggestions of other threat: Adding “All” category.
Problem we have here is when using for example “Related Posts” plugins. As soon as the category All is in all the Posts, the consequence is that all the posts are related…. I could make an exception with the “All” category, but then the result is that they all are not related and nothing displays.
I would say plugin is working properly, and theme too, it is just a matter of finding the way how to have an option to display all in the Filter by Topic…
What do you think?
Oliver.

RupokMemberHi Oliver,
I understand your situation but this is something we can’t control. I think you need to do something (maybe by editing the plugin or with Child Theme) to create a relation between them if you want to use the plugin. But it would be out of our scope as we can’t control this.
Thanks for understanding.
