Title says it all. Here’s my process:
1. upload multiple images to new portfolio item
2. set portfolio type to gallery
3. set featured image to be one of the images I just uploaded
4. publish portfolio item.But, the image I set as the featured image for the portfolio item isn’t included in the slider. Is this a feature or a bug? How would I go about including the featured image in the slider?

Thanks for updating. Featured image is different than the gallery/slider. It will be used as the thumbnail on Portfolio page and will be shown on single post where the featured image supposed to show. If you want to include this in Slider/Gallery then you need to add their again.

I think you need to go back and re-read my initial post- you’ve missed the point somewhat. I’ve uploaded a series of images to a portfolio item. One of these images is then selected as the featured image *but* the image that is selected as the featured image doesn’t show in the gallery slider.
It does not make sense to need to upload the same file twice as I think your post implies.
According to https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/gallery-postfeatured-image/#post-46762 and a number of other posts, by default the gallery *excludes* the featured image.
Heres what I need to do:
- Include the featured image of a portfolio item in the portfolio item’s gallery.
