SamParticipantHi there,
For some reason my fallback image is displaying instead of my featured image when using the share button from my post.
See http://trackworthy.com/trackworthy-2016-subaru-wrx-sti-hikari-edition/, for example.
I’d appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! We advice that you utilise the Yoast SEO instead to have better control over your open graph, with that said you need to turn off the open graph option on Customizer to avoid conflict.
After you setup your post open graph on Yoast, debug your post here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ so Facebook will scrape the new data.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

SamParticipantLooking through other posts on this topic, I’ve also tried disabling open map (as I have Yoast SEO), and I’ve tried manually overriding the Facebook display image in Yoast, being sure to use an image with the correct dimensions. Still no luck.

SamParticipantIt looks like our messages crossed in cyberspace. Yes, I tried both of those things, and I’m still not having any luck.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Did you debug and scrape again the page here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ when you set a new data?
If so and the remain, please provide us login credentials in private reply so we can take a closer look.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. I have checked your site and I can see Open Graph is disabled on your site – http://prntscr.com/bh82n5
Let’s enable this first to get expected result. You might not see the result immediately for the existing posts unless you fetch new data from Facebook debug tool.
Cheers!

SamParticipantI’ve done this already. It doesn’t work. Please go take a look.

SamParticipantI feel like I’m going in circles here… First I was told to turn OFF Open Graph because I’m using Yoast. That didn’t work. Now you’re telling me to turn it back on. Still doesn’t work.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Sorry for the confusion, keep the open graph disable on Customizer. The issue is your page has meta tags in the body instead of the head.
If you don’t have any custom template/modification, then a plugin must be causing this. Please Deactivate all your plugins (except YOAST & Cornerstone). And try to fetch new information again from Facebook Debugger.
If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!

SamParticipantSorry, but that didn’t work either. Deactivated everything except for YOAST and Cornerstone. The problem persists…

LelyModeratorHi Sam,
Meta information should be before </head> and not after the opening of the body <body>. It is weird because when I view the source code, it is on the header part which is correct. But then, directly inspecting it shows that those meta information is move after the body opening which causes this error. See attached screenshot. There’s must be some code that is changing this on the fly. If you have caching plugin, please note to delete/purge cache first before disabling it. Please also try to switch from your child theme to main X theme and remove all other custom codes. This is for us to check where it is coming. Then check after that.
Hope this helps.

SamParticipantHi Team,
This is the strange issue!! When I inspect element then I can see same error of meta tag under body tag but when I view source all meta shows under head tag! (Please check attachment).
Problem seems because of x child theme! Can you guys check my x child theme code and update me what is causing such issue or any wrong code there!
Thanks,

Nabeel AModeratorHi again,
When I activated your Parent theme everything was back to normal, so there are customization in your Child Theme which is breaking the theme. We can’t identify what’s been added in your Child Theme. Please review your Child theme’s customization and remove the code that is breaking the theme.
Cheers!
