I’m new t wordpress — love the X theme. It’s elegant and minimal.

My problem is that when sharing pages on FB no photo or unrelated photo is being published. How do I control and make sure that the photo of the article on page will be seen.

    For example please check: http://www.thepythians.net/yolanda_andrade/

    WordPress 4.5.2 running X theme.
    Thanks, Tova

    Hello there,

Thanks for writing in! To resolve this issue, please head over to Appearance -> Customize -> Social -> Open Graph and disable that option. Then you can install WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin and then use it to add your site meta.

After updating your page/post meta, please go to this page: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ and fetch a new scrape information for that page before sharing on facebook.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

I have tried to share your page and I can see the photos – http://prntscr.com/bap7gx

Maybe you are trying too early. Let’s clear your browser’s cache and try again.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

There is no image at all on the page so what you are expecting here? At least you can try adding a featured image for the page.

    Hope this makes sense.

Why won’t it link the video?
when I link a vimeo page on FB, it shows a video.

    Hello There,

Since you have installed Yoast SEO plugin, please disable the built in Open Graph in X. Simply go to the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Social > Open Graph. We will let Yoast SEO plugin to handle the Open Graph. At this moment you have two parallel open graph meta could create issues in getting the page info. Once you have disable, please check it again.

    Thank you.
