    I was writing a new post today when all of the sudden my site collapsed.
    This is the error I’m getting

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function x_get_view() in /home1/sininvie/public_html/wp-content/themes/x/template-blank-4.php on line 17

    I didn’t touch that .php file at all.

    How can I fix it?
    I have backed up everything now.

    Hi There,

    You can try to remove X Theme and re-install it manually again.

    Access : public_html/wp-content/themes/ and remove X

    Download a fresh copy from your dashboard and upload it again.

    You won´t lose anything all your data is stored at the database.

    Joao I’m using a Child Theme.

    Can you please give me a step by step guide of what I should do?
    Will I lose my customisations? Which exactly?

    I’m kind of desperate here

    Hi there,

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    If you replaced the theme and things are back to normal and you did not touch the child theme, that is perfect.

    Hello Joao

    Although I didn’t touch the child theme and most functionality went back to normal, I’ve now discovered two things that are not working.
    Right Navigation (it was recent posts and search mainly) have disappeared from all posts and from blog page: http://www.sininvierno.com/blog
    Also, the Category pages to which the items under “Blog” in the main navigation menu are not working, they start loading and never finish:
    eg: http://sininvierno.com/category/reflexiones/

    I hope you can help me fix these.

    Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
