My question does involve Cornerstone, but the trouble seems to have begun because I have been unable to perform automatic updates. The messages I was receiving suggest that the X Theme still needs to be validated. http://immortellerevolution.ca/ has been validated.

The website http://immortellerevolution.ca/ is basically “hiding in plain site” at the moment. Her ‘live’ website “http://optimapureskin.ca/” (basically the same site) but she is changing the name to immortelle revolution so… I thought I would make all the updates under immortelle and then delete optima. This is why I have identified the optima website as the dev site.

I have tried various things, including uploading newer then older versions of cornerstone via FTP and now the front end of the site is live but I cannot open the plugins page on the back end.

I would really appreciate some assistance.

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for the detailed explanation and for the credentials.
Problem 1. Please try to installing Transient Cleaner (https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/) follow the steps below.

1. Install Transient Cleaner
2. Navigate Dashboard -> Tools -> Transients
3. Set Clear Expired Transients -> Enable
4. Select Run Now
5. Set Remove All Transients -> Enable
6. Set Remove All Transients -> Optimize Afterwards
7. Select Run Now
8. Recheck your Cornerstone for functionality

Problem 2 I can see that automatic updates is ON. See attached screenshot. Did you try to update already using this automatic updates? Please try this and do update us after before trying the FTP manual update.

Hi there,

Could you please try the following workaround.

1. Revoke your API key from X Addons section (check the bottom of the page) and also remove it from your license page on Themeco.

2. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.

3. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

4. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

5. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.
