We have a long youtube video featured on our site through a Slider revolution video layer on our front page. Is there a better way to share a youtube video on our site? I noticed there’s a lot of slow buffering happening when the video plays and it sometimes pauses for extended periods. I’m sure some of this is partially the internet and the long video, but I’ wondering if there’s a better method to share a video on X-theme that would make the video play with less buffering. If possible, we’d still like it display a full width image before the video plays. I just want to make sure we’re using the best approach. Thanks.

Is there anyway for that to give us control of setting a full width cover photo like the slider does? How can we create the same appearance above the masthead as our current version using a slider? Thanks!

Hi there,
Are you limited to a youtube video? Though it shouldn’t be too slow, in fact, it’s faster than any other. How about Vimeo or CDN hosted video file?
X’s video/audio player is different from rev. slider player ( which offers many options ). X’s player is based from MediaElement which is part of WordPress’s core with limited features.
Hence, you can’t replicate what you had on your slider.
