paulinedelParticipantHi,
I have a wordpress site running the “X” Ethos theme. I have recently installed the Optimizepress plugin, and have an issue that when I post my website link on Facebook, I get extra text showing up below the image, in the description area.
I have contacted Optimizepress, who have given me this response:
“As part of our standard troubleshooting process, we have tested your site with a default WordPress theme activated. We do this for a few seconds just to test the issue and whether it is being caused by any external theme installed on your site. We have found that when a default WordPress theme is active, this issue no longer occurs
This means something in your theme is rendering some code to WordPress which is affecting the functionality of OptimizePress.
Unfortunately, in cases like this I’m afraid there isn’t anything further we can do from our side to help with this issue – where issues are caused by third-party theme code we ask that you contact the theme author as for further help (they are best placed to help as they know their code better than we do). You can demonstrate to them that if they switch your site to a default WordPress theme (e.g. TwentyFifteen) you can see the issue is no longer present.
These issues normally occur because the theme developer has not properly enqueued (loaded) theme scripts or javascripts into WordPress in the standards compliant way which means we cannot block them from rendering in the LiveEditor and affecting our editor.
Hopefully you will be able to get this issue resolved with the help of the support team of the theme you’re using.”
Can you please help to eliminate this problem?June 9, 2016 at 6:00 pm #1034789
