IanHepParticipantI was going to add something to a previous article (https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/external-link-on-callout-button/) but it has been closed/archived.
This isnt a question, but information for anyone else who has the same issue that I (and the previous questioner) did.
Setting a button up with either a shortcode or using button Element in Cornerstone was easy.
What I – as an amateur – didnt realise was that you MUST include “http://…” at the start of the link address in the HREF field. If you just put “www.etc…”, this is just added to the current page address, and in my case, you just got an error message on your own site.
It confuse me, since if I add an address as a link to text, I dont have to worry about this, and “www.etc…” works just fine.
I thought I would post for other amateurs like me.
