    Hello,

Using the latest version of X, and when I try loading the expanded Agency theme, it won’t download/import the theme’s images, etc.

    Thanks

    I have tried running:

    admin.php?page=x-addons-demo-content&clean-cache

and it will not let me…

I have also reinstalled X, and I still cannot get the expanded demo content to show up on my site.

    Hi Lance,

Please update Cornerstone. You are using a newer version of X that may not be compatible. After updating, please ensure that you have cleared out your browser cache and any caching plugins you may be using. Then kindly try to import the demo content again.

If the issue persists, kindly let us know which Demo content you are trying to import so that we could test it out.

x is set to auto-update, and I see no update for Cornerstone….Is it possible to manually update?

well, I tried repeating the whole process of deleting everything, clearing all caches, and it simply will not download the content from the Agency expanded theme…

When you click on the “setup demo content” link for Agency, it completely bypasses the phase in which it downloads the content such as the slider, images, icons, etc…

I tried installing the “church” expanded demo – which I had running as a test some weeks ago, and when I try to re-install that theme it does the same thing – it will not re-download the content such as images, etc.

so basically, what I am able to tell so far, is that if you have ever installed one of the expanded demos and then manually deleted the demo content (such as images), X does not seem to let you re-install.

I’ve double-checked my cache, and as far as I can tell, there was nothing cached.

    this is extremely frustrating.

    Hey Lance,

We are investigating this issue. Please take note of our support policy in the sidebar which states:

Forum response time can take up to 24 hours Monday through Friday and can be longer on the weekend. Complex questions may take longer, and all questions are answered from oldest to newest.

The reason why newer posts get answered first is because there are several of us support at the same time and if the newer question is not complex and can be answered quickly, the support member who is answering it finishes first.

For now, could you try reinstalling X?

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hello,

I was able to re-upload some of the X expanded demo content from a backup I had, but it is still missing many of the images in the Agency and Church themes.

To reiterate the issue: if you setup one of the expanded demos, and then delete the theme assets such as images and sliders, X will not allow you to re-download the expanded demo content.

I’ve re-installed X and Cornerstone, cleared cache, disable plugins, and am now unable to edit one of the pages becasue Cornerstone is saying that it can only edit in Skeleton mode.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

X theme will not re-download the deleted media files if it’s from your backup. X theme will only re-download them if you’re importing a demo from our server to your site.

I checked your home page and edited it with cornerstone and it works, I can edit it both as skeleton mode or by actual preview.

Please check again with different machine or by private browsing.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for looking.

As stated multiple times in this thread, I CANNOT re-download the assets from the X Expanded Demos.

As for Cornerstone, the pages titled “case studies” and “news” are NOT editable with Cornerstone – I have tried it in 2 different browsers on 2 machines.

-“Case Studies” takes Cornerstone into Skeleton Mode, and when you try editing “News”, it does NOT open Cornerstone – it just opens the News page.

The other pages seem to be ok.

    Thanks (?)

    Hey Lance,

I’m sorry you’re still having issues here. X maintains an internal cache to signify when resources have been imported, to prevent duplicate content. There is a way to get back to a clean slate of things.

First, delete any content you would like fully replaced. Next visit this URL

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-home&x-clean-demo-content-cache

That will silently trigger a purging of that cache. You can run the importer again, but keep in mind that at this point it will duplicate everything that’s been imported already, including images an menus. You may need to clean up a few of those things afterwards.

Let us know if this helps with the issue you’re having.
