PicciaNeriParticipantI bought Events Calendar Pro for a client after it was recommended to me. Unfortunately, it has a lot of problems with X, as a quick search on this forum will prove. The main one in my case is that it refuses to show a sidebar on a single page event. No work-around will sort it out. Events Calendar Pro support left me hanging for days on a final answer. They have now told me that they have no intention of making it work with X. So after investing days in setting up events and tweaking the CSS I now have a very expensive plugin ($89 is not cheap) that will simply not do something as simple as having a sidebar on a post. And no one will help. I never thought they would not find a solution for that or I would not have wasted so much precious time working with it.
So now yo uknow: Don’t buy Modern Tribe plugins if you plan to use them with X.

Laura KParticipantHi… Just wanted to supply a workaround since I just ran into the same problem.
Using the formats for the template-layout-content-sidebar.php files (in the main X folder, as well as the x/framework/views/stack folder), I made a custom template and uploaded it to my child theme.
To get sidebars working, in the file that goes in the childtheme/framework/views/stack/ folder, I replaced
<?php get_sidebar(); ?> with<aside class=”x-sidebar right” role=”complementary”>
<?php dynamic_sidebar(‘sidebar-main’); ?>
</aside>Once you’ve got your new template files uploaded, choose your new template the Events Calendar settings and…Voila! Your main sidebar should appear. Of course, if you make a custom sidebar for the events, you can replace ‘sidebar-main’ with whatever your new sidebar ID is.
Hope that helps!!

cliffordpParticipantHi Piccia. This is Cliff from Modern Tribe.
I don’t have much experience using X Theme, but I did buy it a long while back and just tested the latest version with the latest version of The Events Calendar and its PRO add-on — we can continue that conversation in our own forum thread.
I wanted to chime in here that we do want to make sure all our customers feel heard and helped.
If there are any known issues with a workaround that consistently works, we’ll typically post it on our Knowledgebase (e.g. Genesis), so please let us know if this is the case with X Theme.
If anyone else has questions or concerns about X + The Events Calendar in the future, you can post in our Pre-Sales Support Forum.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
We never want to have customers feel unheard, unappreciated, or let down from expectations we’ve set.
Please feel free to get in touch in any way you’re comfortable.
Thanks!

Many thanks
