chrisaflParticipantIn Ethos, on the homepage (demo 1 if it matters), the thumbnails for posts are using the FULL RES versions of the file. On the post itself it uses the auto downsized WordPress versions.
I went in to framework/views/ethos/content.php and changed the if statement that decides between the x_ethos_featured_index and the x_featured_image and just made everything x_featured_image. I was able to get the page to use a smaller version of the file but it caused other issues (the hover overlay got very messed up) so I reverted that change.
To me it seems like a bug that the theme would use full resolution versions of uploaded images for thumbnails. This is a problem for me as our publishers tend to upload huge photos from their fancy SLRs and expect WordPress to resize them.
Any advice? A slow loading homepage is bad for everyone.
Thanks,
