benterz222ParticipantHey guys,
Is there a way to use Ethos, but as a grid view on the homepage for all my blog posts? I’ve downloaded Essential Grid plugin, but not quite sure how to use it yet.
At the moment, all blog posts display in a list format on the homepage, but would be cool if they could display as more of a grid.
Cheers,
James

Paul RModeratorHi James,
Thanks for writing in!
You can enable masonry under Appearance > Customize > Blog > Style.

Thanks for your response.
I have checked this option, but can’t see anything has changed?

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. As you have set “Filterable Index” so the Masonry won’t be activated. Kindly disable Filterable Index from Customize > Ethos – http://prntscr.com/bfw2w0
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

benterz222ParticipantThat’s great, thanks Rupok.
Can I change the way these tiles look? As in can I have an image and then text underneath, like on: http://www.vice.com/en_uk/.
How do I also change the mouse hover over effect?
Can I have some tiles as single column and some as 2 column?
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. I wish I could do this for you. Regretfully, it could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

benterz222ParticipantNo worries Rupok.
When I hover over the menu items on the desktop version of the site, the text disappears. Any ideas why? Also, my menu isn’t displaying on mobile?
Thanks.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! I can’t replicate the issue on desktop, I’m seeing the menu text as color light blue when I hover over it. Please clarify.
On mobile the menu is color white on a white background making it invisible, you can change the mobile menu button with this Custom CSS on Customizer
.x-btn-navbar.collapsed:hover, .x-btn-navbar.collapsed, .x-btn-navbar:hover { color: #2fb8fd; }Hope it helps, Cheers!
