Hi Community,
I’m a beginner with wordpress and 2 weeks ago, I started to change an old (html) website to a wordpress website using Ethos Stack. I designed the new website in a folder in the old one (e.g. http://www.oldwebsite.com/NewWebsite). Then I move the new one to the website root following those steps :
1. Export in XML file all contents
2. Download plugins and theme folder
3. Remove all files in root except NewWebsite folder
4. Copy a wordpress archive + plugins and theme folder
5. Install wordpress on http://www.oldwebsite.com
6. Import the XML file (with file attachement)
7. Install and activate all pluginsThe website works properly except the Ethos Carousel which doesn’t work (and displays normally featured image from 7 pages). To be noted featured image from blog post doesn’t appears too (see on my home page).
I checked my _post-carousel.php file, my database, I tried to add code line (found on another topîc) in javascript customizer… but it’s still not working.
I don’t know what to do.

Hey there,
Though what you did would work for a regular or simple WordPress site that is not the proper way to migrate or move WordPress. What you can do now is to set the Ethos settings again.
