I’m creating a site using the ethos 2 demo content but would like the menu and my site name/logo placed at the bottom of the page with a call to action button above it that scrolls from the home page down to the next but pulling the menu up to the top like in the ethos 3 theme.

Also how do I create a menu where the menu buttons all scroll down to a certain part of the first page? Is this possible from within cornerstone

I searched around but was a little confused as I came across documentation with visual composer and cornerstone being mentioned on the same page. I wish there could be 2 separate how to docs. i cant figure out where to get the unique ids or where i would put them. Is that the same thing as permilink? Same thing with “content_band”… or is it x_section?? totally lost and I researched and looked around for hours before posting this

Can I have a simple walk through please?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

#1 Please setup slider above masthead and enable ‘scroll bottom anchor’. See the attachment.
Also add .masthead in slider’s containers field.

    #2 Please check this link : https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-one-page-navigation
Add unique ID in section’s ID field, e.g : introduction. Next add a menu, set it as one page navigation and add custom link, e.g : #introduction. See the second attachment.

    Hope it helps.

Hi, and thanks for your response.

I had already looked at that “How to Setup One Page Navigation” a hand full of times page and I didn’t understand it as it mentioned visual composer and cornerstone like I mentioned before

In your first attachment I see that where it says “slider” revolution slider: agency home is selected. Only thing I can select is “deactivated”. Is there something else to set up to get rev slider to be in the drop down list? Maybe I should have asked for a detailed walk through instead of a simple one??

In your #1 it says “Also add .masthead in slider’s containers field.” can you tell me where to go to do this, like what page? Is everything done in cornerstone or is there a place I go to in the regular WP area?

Please understand I’m am new to this. Can you provide a video tutorial or give me specific step by step instructions on how to do this? Sorry, I know its probably simple and there is something I’m missing but PLEASE help me out

    Thanks

    Hi There,

If you are using Visual Composer instead of Cornerstone you can activate Slider Revolution Above or Below Masthead by clicking Edit Page on your TOP WP Admin Bar.

Scroll down once you are inside it and you will find the options Deactivate + All the sliders you have there available at the moment, if it none slides are shown, please kindly check if you really have any sliders at Revolution Slider.

    Please see image attached.

Regarding .masthead, Christopher is referring to the container field inside the Slider Revolution Plugin. So access the slider you would like to user (Agency For Example), Settings. Please see img 2.

Hope that is clear, if it is not, please just ask and it will be our pleasure to guide you.

    Hope that helps,

    Joao

    1. I’m using cornerstone. I dont even know anything about visual composer or even have it unless it was installed with the theme. As far as you guys make it seem, thats the old way of doing things and since i’m new to X, as I mentioned, i’m going the new way, which is cornerstone

2.Do I need rev slider to get the results i’m trying to get? this.. https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-one-page-navigation/ doesn’t mention that! If so, does it have to be activated?

    3. Joao, your first screenshot, only thing thats in the slider drop down list is with me is “deactivated” until I go to edit my home page within WP and go down to “one page navigation” and choose my “main menu” menu i created. is this right? do i do this with every page i create?

    4. Your second screenshot, how do i get to this screen?

Would it be best to start from scratch. I could just rest everything, import the ethos 2 them demo content and you could wal me through to get the results?

Figured it out by watching a vid I found on YouTube.

Now can someone help me with the other parts, getting the logo/site name and menu to be placed at the bottom of the page and to add a call to action/scroll button to act like this

    http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/3/

    thanks

    Hi there,

Upon checking your URL http://adictiveentertainment.com/, I see you’ve achieved that.
    Would you confirm that?

    Thanks.
